Phumla is the chairperson and a co-founder of Khulisa Investment Partners. Through her extensive networks in corporate South Africa Phumla has access to a broad deal pipeline. Phumla is responsible for fundraising, deal sourcing and negotiations. As chairperson she oversees the execution of Khulisa’s investments. Phumla has over 20 years of experience in conducting private transactions as the Managing Director of Lehumo Women’s Investment Holdings and through her family businesses. Phumla has invested in several SMEs in the past 20 years and has assisted these companies to grow their revenue streams and profitability through turbulent periods in the South African corporate environment.

Sylvester is a Principal with Khulisa Investment Partners. He has held professional roles in banking, investing and fund management. He has experience in investing in start-ups, SMEs, property, mid-market transactions, as a pension fund trustee, and doing mergers, acquisitions, and disposals in the listed space. In his personal capacity, he invests in the listed market for his family. Sylvester serves on the Boland Cricket Board. His experience and current responsibility at Khulisa covers fundraising, operations and dealmaking – from origination to post-investment deal management, including board involvement.
